Would be an improvement, if the platforms weren't so "slippery" (sprite lands on the edge but slips and falls). Then again I don't know anything about programming these physics :D

I like your idea here.
I would drop the bass volume to zero everytime the "ghost-strings" hit in the backgrounds. It would give them more "powah", if you follow me. I would also swap intruments occasionally if the melody stays the same for a long period (but this is a matter of artistic view, I don't want to come out like I know better than you! Just think about it ok?)

I liked the part one better. It keeps the interest for a very long time. And like I said first, the idea here is awesome. Keep up the good work! :)

Mixing is awesome here, sounds on the front don't block any of the background and vice versa.
Personally I would have added a second track for the harp with -1 or -2 octave and lower volume to make it easier for the ear. There's alot of high notes with strings and the harp and it occassionally borders painfull to listen (because of the high pitch, not because of the track, mind you :P )

I listened to the original track and I like how you've taken this remix towards a "light" atmosphere (unlike the original which is pretty intense with beats and low strings boooming at you).
